Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

 

General Requirements

  1. Articles should be between 3,000-4,000 words (including references, notes, and tables).

  2. Articles must include a statement confirming that they have not been previously published elsewhere.

  3. Each article will undergo a plagiarism check.

  4. Research articles should consist of nine components.

    • Component titles are written in uppercase, bold, black, and aligned to the left. Sub-components are not labeled except in the results and discussion sections; their presence is implied in the first sentence.
  5. Article Components:

    • Title: Maximum of 12 words for Indonesian articles, typed in Tahoma font, size 12, bold.
    • Author’s Name: Listed below the title, in Tahoma font, size 10, bold, without titles and not abbreviated. Below the name, list the author’s area of expertise, institution, and email address.
    • Abstract: Should not exceed 200 words, written in both English and Indonesian in one paragraph, covering research objectives, methods, analysis techniques, and findings. [Tahoma font, size 11, single-spaced, italic for English and regular for Indonesian]
    • Keywords: Maximum of 5 keywords, separated by commas, double-spaced below the abstract. [Tahoma font, size 11, single-spaced, italic]
    • Introduction: Written in uppercase [Tahoma font, size 12, bold], containing the background, urgency, literature review, problem-solving plan, research objectives, and hypothesis development. [Tahoma font, size 11, regular]
    • Methodology: Explains approach, scope or object, operational definitions/description of research focus, location, population and sample/informants, main materials and tools, data collection techniques, and data analysis techniques. [Tahoma font, size 11, regular]
    • Results and Discussion: Present the research findings comprehensively and in accordance with the research scope. Results may include tables, graphs (figures), and/or diagrams, each with a number and title. The discussion logically explains the findings and connects them with relevant references.     • Conclusion and Suggestions: Summarizes research findings and discussion. The conclusion addresses the research questions or objectives, while the suggestions provide contributions to the application and/or development of knowledge. [Tahoma font, size 11, regular]
    • Footnotes: Each citation should include a footnote. [Tahoma font, size 9, single-spaced; example format: Veronica Kumalawati, The Role of Informed Consent in Therapeutic Transactions, Citra Aditya Bakti, Bandung, 1998, p. 23]
    • References: Lists all cited sources, with at least 80% from literature published within the last 10 years.
  6. Articles should be formatted in Microsoft Word, with Tahoma font size 11, single-spaced, on A4 paper, with margins of 3 cm (left and top) and 2 cm (right and bottom).

  7. There is no fee for article publication (free).

  8. Articles can be submitted and registered through the JURNALIS KUMHAM online system at: https://kanwilkumhamdki.ddns.net:58680/index.php/jyh/index

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
